Author Guidelines & Submission Preparation Checklist
Author Guidelines
Authors must confirm that their submitted article has never been published in the SIAP Journal and is not being considered by any other journal.
All articles submitted to SIAP Journal must comply with the writing guidelines in the journal template. Articles should be written in Georgia font, 12 pt, with 1.5 line spacing. Abstracts should be written in Georgia, 11 pt, with single line spacing.
The text should be typed within a print area, with a 2.5 cm top margin, 3 cm bottom and left margins, and a 2 cm right margin. Use A4 paper size (8.27 inches by 11.69 inches), with a header and footer of 0.5 inches each. Page numbers are not required.
All article layouts should use a single-column format.
Articles, including references, should be between 10 and 20 pages in length, with single line spacing.
The structure of the article should follow this order:
The title must be in capital letters, Georgia font, 18 pt, bold, and centered on the page, with a maximum of 15 words.
The author’s name should be written without titles, using Georgia 12 pt bold font. On the second line, include the author’s institution or affiliation, and on the third line, the email address (refer to the journal template). All author details should be centered. If there are multiple authors, the second author’s information should be listed below the first, and so on, up to a maximum of four authors.
The article must include an abstract written in both Indonesian and English, with 5 to 8 keywords. The Indonesian abstract should follow standard Indonesian language rules (PUEBI). The English abstract should be in past tense, descriptive, and follow academic standards. It should summarize the entire article in one paragraph, covering the problem, objectives, methods, analysis, results, and findings. The maximum length is 250 words for the Indonesian version. Articles written in English do not require an Indonesian abstract. The abstract should follow the single line spacing guideline in the journal template.
The introduction should include background information, the problem being discussed, a review of previous research, and the research objectives.
The methods section should explain the procedures and steps taken to complete the research, detailing the author's working processes.
The discussion should analyze the data, incorporating theory and the author's insights. It should be clear, logical, and systematic. Authors should address the research objectives through the findings.
Every citation must include a clear reference (e.g., web URL, DOI) and adhere to the SIAP Journal style guide, which follows Turabian 8. Mendeley software must be used for managing references.
Direct quotes are discouraged.
Images should be in JPEG format, inserted into a text box. Captions should be placed below the image, e.g., "Figure 1." If the caption is lengthy, it can be written on a second line with single line spacing, and the image should be centered. Images must be clear and referenced in the discussion section.
Tables should be formatted within the manuscript page limit. Table descriptions follow the same rules as image captions but are placed above the table. Horizontal lines should be used sparingly in the table layout.
The conclusion should summarize the research findings and be aligned with the research objectives. Bullet points are not allowed, and the conclusion should be presented in paragraph form.
The acknowledgment section should only be included if necessary, particularly to acknowledge funding or significant assistance in the research.
References should be automatically generated using Mendeley. Only references cited in the paper should be listed, and adding uncited references is not allowed.
